A motorcycle accident claimed the life of a 64-year-old Fallon man, on Sunday, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.

The man was heading west on his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle on Highway 50. A woman, 41, of McAllen, Texas, was facing south in her Ford Expedition when she failed to observe the motorcyclist and turned into the drivers path.

The front of the motorcycle smashed into the left side of the Expedition, ejecting the motorcyclist from the bike. He was taken to Banner Churchill Community Hospital where he later died. The woman was not injured in the accident.

The woman was not cited at the scene, but the incident and information has been forwarded to the District Attorney's Office pending possible charges, according to a Nevada Department of Public Safety Relations Officer.

Due to a fatality in the accident, she can face harsher penalties if she is charged and found guilty. Alcohol is not suspected in the accident.
